Join us for a week of living the languid summer life.
Wake slow in your luxurious bedroom in a private french villa; grab a morning cup of Italian expresso as you gaze out at the glistening Côte d'Azur.
Enjoy a slow french breakfast in the garden, lounge by the villa’s pool with a read or take yoga in the lush yard.
In the afternoons, stroll the sun-drenched coastal town located right on the Italian border—famous for its pastel-colored buildings that spill down the hillside to the sea.
Try all things lemon, as this town is infamous for its citrus groves and subtropical microclimate.
The vibe of Menton is quieter, more laid-back than it’s neighbors Nice or Monaco. Which is the set for our whimsy activities.
Pretend you’re living in the 90’s, where phones are off and everyone uses digital cameras for photos. Every evening after dinner we paint or craft in the garden, journal before bed, and enjoy the sweet slow life.
Every day has an hour crafted for bored time—yes, you read that right—an hour of no technology, an hour to be bored (like, seriously, when was the last time you were truly bored? Probably high school, right? We reach for our phones instead, and this Ted Talk suggests that a lot benefits await) and reconnect to creativity, to our thoughts, to ourselves.
This world moves too fast, this week is all about moving SLOW—and finding you again.

About Marrakech

Over 300km away from the capital Rabat, Marrakech is situated in the Tensift river valley where the river meanders north of the city. The lush river valley provides the perfect habitat for a variety of palms, citrus fruits, fig, flowers, olive trees and pomegranate. In contrast to the serene green landscape, the red walls of the city are home to a city that seems to never sleep. You’ll discover beautiful gardens, a peaceful oasis for some rest from the busy souks.

(The Wild Sahara)
Erg Chebbi is not a village or a city, but rather an area in the Moroccan Sahara. Erg Chebbi is a vast field of giant and impressive sand dunes, reaching up to 150 meters (about 490 feet). The word
"erg" is derived from the Arabic word "irq," which means "sand sea" or "dune field." Now, would a sea of giant sand dunes be worth seeing? Obviously, the answer is YES.

Elizabeth Jane “ EJ” (E-RYT 500, Certified Sound Healer and Breathwork Facilitator) creates a safe, nurturing space that allows for a bit of magic, inner healing, and moments to reconnect to the divine within. She has served as lead teacher for multiple 200hr Yoga Teacher Trainings around the world from India, to Malta, to Indonesia, to Mexico. She founded a Sound Healing Certification Course in Breckenridge, Colorado. To her, these ancient tools (Breathwork, Sound, and Yoga) serve as profound medicine that help us return to our inquisitive, joyful, natural Self. She has been teaching, studying, practicing, and sharing yoga all over the world for over 15 years.

ARRIVAL: Marrakesh Menara Airport (RAK)
*transport will be included in rate. Our first riad is about 15 minutes from the RAK airport
DEPATURE: Moulay Ali Cherif Airport (ERH) in Errachidia
*this is about a 2.5 hr drive from Erg Chebbi (our last location). Book a flight departing in the afternoon or evening
This will ensure we have time to get your from the middle of the desert to the airport in time! :)

We encourage digital detoxing and sobriety/mindful consumption for our early excursions, yoga, and ceremonies. If you want to party, this retreat is not for you.

Yin is a beautiful yoga modality that physically targets the connective tissue and joints of the body; stimulates Chinese Medicine Meridian Lines; and is sequenced with long-holds in poses (3-7 minutes). The perfect compliment to moving our bodies all day!
This peaceful practice sets you up for a great night of sleep!

Yes!
Nevertheless you should always be aware about some basic travel rules: Don‘ carry valuables and high amounts of cash with you. In the city area especially be aware of pickpockets. Don’t carry big bags. Moreover you should not walk alone in the city, or very lonely roads in the night.
A majority of Morocco is Muslim, expect to hear the call to prayer from the mosque throughout the day/early morning. To be respectful in the city, it is suggest for women to cover shoulders/kneess—long breathable skirts and light shirts that cover shoulders are great!
